Celebrate the power of connection, community, and sacred land with us at Serpentine Ridge, nestled at the foot of Mt Widgee.
This special gathering, guided by Mayan Descendant Pepem – Paty Waliz (Surfing Butterfly), invites you to honor the Sacred Mother and the ancient spirits of the land.

Event Schedule:
Saturday, December 21st
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Set up your campsite, enjoy water games, and create your own walking staff.
- 3:30 PM: Meet at the Welcome Centre to plant a Sacred Bunya Tree on the Bunya Trail as an offering to the land and a symbol of our shared commitment.
- 4:00 PM: Sacred journey to the Grandmother Grass Tree on the mountain, where we will create an altar and honor the ancient wisdom of the tree. Mayan Elder Pepem (Paty) will guide this ceremony, bringing us closer to the spiritual wisdom of nature, the moon, the sun, and the stars.
- Ceremonial Fire: Share heartfelt messages to be placed in a woven basket and transformed by the ceremonial fire. This will be a powerful release of what you are ready to let go of, and a beautiful affirmation of your dreams and desires for the future.
- Shared Meal & Celebration: After the ceremony, we’ll come together to share a meal, music, and stories at the Welcome Centre. Bring a nourishing dish to share, and an instrument if you feel called to add to the celebration.
